Diego is one of the 33 baby orangutans at the nursery more...at Nyaru Menteng, the biggest rescue center for orangutans in the world.
Many of the babies witnessed the killing of their mother, because a baby orangutan will cling to its mother constantly for the first year of its life and even after that a mother will never leave her baby alone.
Nyaru Menteng is part of the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, an Indonesian non-profit organisation.

UK, USA (Orangutan Outreach), Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany.

| ADI Presents: Primates in Entertainment: An Exposé | | MY INTRO: I wrote a blog a few months ago about how angry I was at some narrow minded christians on YouTube that was outraged by this video. In the video it is suggested that apes should be classified more...in the same category as humans and they should be able to be protected under the same rights as humans. I say "we owe them that much"...All GREAT APES are becoming extinct and it who is killing them off. HUMANKIND. I believe God loves these animals as much as he loves all of his creatures and he loved None over Another. Any creature with those basic instincts like we do...are human...just a little hairyer.
