hi pitt,

i have done a check on pad's,and two have been intresting findings

1) ceramic pad's

now these are good pads,they are quick to reackt in wet and dry weather,but cost a shit load of money,but they last,i was told up to between 2000-6000 miles,now   more...

As for the brake pads, I'd get what AmBush suggested, i have the same type on my bike, once fitted, the squealing went away, and it only when I'm riding crazy that the front brakes make any noise (only a little).

I use AMS Oil full synthetic now, yeah i need new brake pads, need steel lines too. thanks bud

Get a shop manual..It tells all..Oil for say 5/30 is heavy - 10/30 is mid and 10/40 is light..Say 5/30 for summer (hotter temps) 10/40 thin oil more for cooler temps..I think that's how it goes..But I would use what the dealer or manual says for bike   more...

Read the "Multi-grade" part here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motor_oil

""5W" can be pumped at a lower temperature than "10W" and "0W" can be pumped at a lower temperature than "5W". "

So 5W for winter (cooler temp)

i know about the oil types differen't weights, what i wanna know is the running it hard, seems 4000 miles is too long to do that. I'll check on some pads i need new ones
