This reminds me of when I went hiking up in Yosemite one winter. The snow was a little bit deeper though ... sometimes right up to your knees. lol. It was quite an experience and I'd do it again in a minute. :o) Jim

Looked a good walk. I tend not to do any walking in snow. Going up is fine, but coming down is hell on the knees! I expect the food and drink was worth the climb too.

Also if it's icy, it can be very difficult not to fall over, we took a long slow path back from le chlet in the end. It kept us up higher, out of the woods and along side the mountains. I did video Mont Blanc on a sunny day later on, from the highest   more...
