Before few months I did not think much about platonic love...maybe because there was no imagination how it could be. Actually I experience it as an unconditional way to love a being...no expectations, but feeling fullfilled by it.
Today I read a blog with the title 'romantic love versus platonic love' - it sounds to me like a mistake. Coz it can be romantic as well as platonic, even if it happens 'only' inside the web. We can excahnge almost everything of importance - interesting for me that no wishes about physical closeness appear. |

@ JanaeCatt: Thank you so much for your answer...I agree with you, the far distance also implys chances, since I actually spend more timy with this one person than with anybody else. No reason to run away from feelings coz they appeared in an uneypected wise. Being myself is even easier than in 'real' life, without too much shyness, so she meanwhile knows all about my 'secrets' and she also communicates in a trustful and honest way.
But I also face the one disadvantage of this kind of reltionship. She is in a critical illness and I feel only to be helpless, unable to give her any support - though she has another view about this. In her view she can lean on me by talking about her fear, sometimes complaining also, and she often expresses to be thankful for this opportunity. |

honestly i have yet to get over any of the pains i have lived with the one i love.... i don't know that 'get over' is even a good phrase... i simply forget the offenses until a new one is committed as in hopes that the clean slate i have given him will make him understand that our talk about how we both feel about it will sink in and provoke a change.... it seldom does... but my way is to talk it out and clean slate it until it repeats which makes me contemplate a complete change.... this might be what's best for me, i don't know yet |

a 2nd poem...while I am getting more reflevtive...I watched this film many times...why does it affect me just now?...in movies there are so many 'positive coincidences' - maybe that's why we like them...
Loneliness
Hate, anger, frustration,
How does one survive?
Confusion, distraught, depression.
Why even be alive?
Screaming, running, sobbing,
Everyone is swarming.
Yelling, crying, dying.
Does someone really care?
I sit alone now, all by
Myself with no one else.
They've all left again for good,
And I am once again alone.
I only have friends when
They need a place to hide.
Does that make them love me?
"My basement's always open. . ."
I sit alone again and cry,
For the friends I wish I had,
But will never see.
All I get are words, in threes.
They speak to me softly,
Worry in their faces.
Do they care? Or is
Their worry worthless?
It hurts at the end,
As we all know, but
After that we don't
Know how to go.

Where it is dark and dank,
And in the hot below,
Down where Hades rules.
But do we know
Where people go
After their loneliness
Has got to them.
Why stay here where it's sad,

i have something to say about many topics....but to simply open up and pour out is hard... so let's see...hmmm i love this man, and i like many others in a different way... love runs to the marrow of my soul and the like is flesh induced and will fade for most with time...mostly because i know they will handle me the same... THE love of my life doesn't know what the best way is to handle being with me, other than the normal ways- physically, mostly and though i know that being with someone in that way is the closest one can get to another, i often ponder the freedom of being able to share myself with people in more creative ways which makes me confused since maybe i should only share myself with THE one in every way, lol ok enough of my valley girl babbling for now.... |

Regarding whether to wait for love or look for love, I say that even better than those two alternatives is to learn to love yourself, and be content with yourself, and then you'll be able to truly open your heart to others without grasping, pining, or being desperate (which tend to scare people off anyway). This comment is not directed toward anyone in particular; I'm just putting it out there for the sake of discussion. |

Love ('only') inside the Web - is this possible? Maybe...
People visit a chat room and have to make a choice- between thousands of nicknames or photos (which might show the the owner of the selected nickname...or not himself). After comparing some profiles (one has to look if age, weight and some other attributes match with the own conceiption) you make a decision. Other people try to contact you too - when beeing attracted by your profile or your nickname. After some meetings in a chatroom ...photo exchange...or video chat...you may feel sympathy or even more. Some people will fall in a (puppy?) love with this virtual person without knowing the real truth about him or her. Maybe they do not want to know this real facts after having developed an own imagination. In this case the chat refills their 'real reality' and adds what their dreams were about. It should not be denied that a fancy might turn into real love - but how often does this happen?
Wishful thinking or not, cheat or not, the main thing is to receive a feeling like love and happiness that has not been found yet (or that has been lost).
I personally have met some persons very dear to me - inside and outside the web. |
