Well I see I have to be the first to answer my own question :) Sometimes its hard to cope with chronic pain but when you have been living with it since 1985 you find many ways to deal with many changes the pain brings in your life. Medication of course is number one and I cannot be without although I have tried. Until recently coping was extremly hard even with my college obligations to keep my mind off of the pain for awhile but I found a hobby that is bringing such joy that the pain continues to be there but I am focusing so much on it. I started collecting dolls on Ebay. At first it was just to get a few Aston Drake dolls for my curio cabinet but then I saw the older dolls from the 50's, 60's and the dols I played with as a child and an interest grew in me. I get great joy when I see the old dolls in my curio inet or when I get one in the mail and I open it for the first time and hold delicate history in my hands. |
