Latest post May 10, 08 by Pittimus Well I hit 4 years on june 7th, and I have 1 more year. As for me not speaking for anyone else by myself, I've told this to everyone. I am no way shape or form saying that I am not proud to have Served For The United States of America, I am very proud to have done it. Only about 1% of the population if that will serve in the military. I will say that as for where I am at, and what I was expecting vs what is the reality of my Naval experience, that this something that I don't want to do anymore, not a place I want to work for. I know you are retired, but the Navy you knew is not the Navy today, and 90% of the people I know over 13 years highly recommend getting out if your on your 1st enlistment in today's navy in naval avaition. I won't get into the reasons of the why and what on here. But it is a very personal thing, and a big decision to do this as a career. I'm not discourging anyone from enlisting, or anything that has to do with the military, just know what you are doing, think ahead by 15 years that way you can get an idea of what you want to be doing.

Latest post Mar 10, 08 by Pittimus Yeah just a lil bit about my life prior to the Navy. I worked for a company called Tree Top Service back home in Virginia right after I graduated from HS until I left for the navy. I first started out cutting grass, because my employer had the contract to cut the grass in the 6 National Cementaries around the Richmond area. From there I started doing tree work inbetween cutting grass, oh and this may freak some of yall but I also dug graves for a lot of spouses that outlived their husbands and for many veterans from WWII that are passing. Once my employer's contract ended with the National Cementary work I did nothing but tree work and logging. Tree work and logging is very dangerous and I mean very dangerous, I can't count the number of times I've almost died doing that kind of work, but I loved what I was doing for some odd reason, but yeah that work is very very physically demanding and very dangerous like I said.

Latest post Mar 5, 08 by Pittimus Just a few things I do when I'm not at work. I ride my motorcycle as many of you know, spend time with my wife and daughter cuz they are going back to the east coast in 2 months and i'm getting deployed. I'm online as you can tell. I like to cook, espically BBQ since I'm a good ol boy from the South. I like to research things that i'm intrested in online since it's the best resource for information.
