Time Passes on ...
Latest post Oct 20, 08 by HomeMadeHater
I wept for the passing of time as if it was an old friend who had left tears moved aside a smile appeared like the sun rising over distant mountains time was, and is my partner it shows me the value of life memories flash in front of me reminding me that I made the tough decisions decisions that helped others decisions burdened me with responsibility without compensation when confronted with the easy road I took the harder path I protected others when they either couldn't or wouldn't help themselves I am a father to no one and a father to some I am old and getting older my breath is not as strong as it once was My eyes are surrounded by wrinkles hair thinning and growing in places I cannot see I am neither a good or a bad person just a simple man a man of courage To Jen for making me laugh .

SONG OF POPLARS

by: Aldous Huxley

Shepherd, to yon tall poplars tune your flute:
Let them pierce keenly, subtly shrill,
The slow blue rumour of the hill;
Let the grass cry with an anguish of evening gold,
And the great sky be mute.

Then hearken how the poplar trees unfold
Their buds, yet close and gummed and blind,
In airy leafage of the mind,
Rustling in silvery whispers the twin-hued scales
That fade not nor grow old.

"Poplars and fountains and you cypress spires
Springing in dark and rusty flame,
Seek you aught that hath a name?
Or say, say: Are you all an upward agony
Of undefined desires?"

"Say, are you happy in the golden march
Of sunlight all across the day?
Or do you watch the uncertain way
That leads the withering moon on cloudy stairs
Over the heaven's wide arch?"

"Is it towards sorrow or towards joy you lift
The sharpness of your trembling spears?
Or do you seek, through the grey tears
That blur the sky, in the heart of the triumphing blue,
A deeper, calmer rift?"

So; I have tuned my music to the trees,
And there were voices, dim below
Their shrillness, voices swelling slow
In the blue murmur of hills, and a golden cry
And then vast silences.

Hey guys, anybody want to have a go at the page design for our group so it isn't so boring? (sorry about the long delay in getting the old, expired stuff out of here, I have such a slow connection now and so little computer time it takes me forever to get anything done!) Please shoot me a message and let me know and I'll give you access. Thanks! Jenny

Samyotisa War is crime War is crime, tears apart Not a scent nor a word You too will burn out one day, oh the sun Burn out, in the shutting eyes of the dying Aman da aman, aman You too will burn out, don't you brag War is crime, oh the living War is crime, tears apart So where's the candle that would take you to Samos Aman da aman anam Hearts burn, ever insatiably Your breath burns out, never to warm Aman da aman anam You are out of time You are out of the breath of your homeland Your hand on your waist, slam your knee down Awe the other side Aman da aman anam War is crime, you fools War is crime, tears apart!

Poetry under fire
Latest post Mar 5, 08 by AztecSGhost
My body tired for days of work. My mind contains scattered chaotic thoughts My soul cries for rest I must keep moving I step outside and great a "do not park" sign. I yell "Who are you!?!" expecting an answer. There is none. My soul screams for rest from the daily burden I must keep moving My mind erupts in random thoughts. Thoughts have no reason or rhyme I must keep moving ~ Poem from a graveyard shift

As a young Man I saw beauty sleeping next to me No makeup Hair unfurled I would stare at that woman with great wonderment and smile. Felt blessed for each passing moment That is beauty, unspoiled, naked and honest
