I've always thought that Plusle and Minun would make good substitutes for Mario and Luigi, but I never more...got around to expressing it other people. Danny is the Plusle and Penfold is the Minun. I also threw in a Pikachu as Princess Daisy (Princess Lita) and a Buneary as Princess Peach (Princess Minnie) for the heck of it.
