A song I wrote about middle age and the way life changes more...while reflecting on where we've been, then ending with what is truly most important today.
I added echo to the chorus by overdubbing vocals twice over and moving rapidly away from the mic while singing the echo. This is what I had in mind originally for the song and I'm not quite sure it really works but I'll let you decide.

I had the idea for a song about trying to explain more...the concept of Hate to my children and this is the song I ended up with. Perhaps the most important song I have written and it's dedicated to my kids. It's a long one but there was so much I had to say to them that I couldn't make it shorter. Unfortunately to meet the YouTube length limit I had to cut out some instrumentals but the song is all there. To hear the full version go here:
