| Walkabout Trance Style Hypnosis at a Street Party |
| For the June 17, 2006, Smirnoff Street Party (one of the 100 Days of Summer events), Taipei's number one English-language radio station, ICRT, invited Brian David Phillips to perform Street Hypnosis while the bands played on stage. This video has brief clips of four of the trance partners who volunteered. Note that it is a very LOUD occassion and yet one can still perform hypnosis. For more information on this and other events as well as videos, see http://www.BrianDavidPhillips.com with mp3s, courses, and more. |

| In this video, Brian David Phillips does a cold walkup more...and demonstrates a number test where he uses psychological forcing and non-verbal suggestion strategies to influence which number a young woman will cross out. He then moves into instant waking hypnosis effects where he suggest that the woman's hands have magnets pulling them together until they cannot be pulled apart and then he runs the classic light and heavy hand suggestibility test. This video is one of the sets from the Walkabout Trance event held in Taipei, Taiwan, on Dec. 18, 2005. The folks from the Taipei Experimental Hypnosis Workshop (see my webpages for workshop information) held an event at the Taipei Zoo Mall in which they approached members of the public in unrehearsed cold walkups to run impromptu trance sessions. These included real instant hypnosis inductions, trance patterns, neurolinguistic programming patterns, and experiential visualizations. We are very likely to host future events of this type in Taipei. See my webpages at http://www.briandavidphillips.com for further details for more information about hypnosis and my workshops or seminars to learn these skills and more. This is a bilingual video (English with Chinese interpretation). less |

| Brian David Phillips runs a modified "energizer" waking more...hypnosis pattern with a young woman. This pattern was originally developed as a covert influence set for seduction but Dr. Phillips demonstrates it here using clean language without a seduction context but rather as a "good feeling" process. The pattern itself can be adapted to many contexts and is very useful for anything from energy to confidence or other active states of mind. It is an enjoyable visualization process. Notice how the young woman's energy levels increase and she appears to "light up" after running the process. | Brian David Phillips asks a young woman to choose more...a number and then gives her that number of coins to hide in one of her palms. Then, using ideomotor effect and muscle reading, he "reads her mind" as to which hand holds the coins. From there, we move straight into a "hand clasp" waking suggestion effect where the hands become locked together. The goal of the event was for the hypnotists to practice real-world trance processes within a spontaneous environment as well as an opportunity to provide members of the public with the chance to experience guided focused trance first hand in a playful way. | In this video, Brian David Phillips is shown demonstrating more...the Phillips Variation Arm Pull Instant Hypnosis Induction. While the video cuts off the very beginning of the induction, about five seconds, you can see the gist. An accompanying episode of the Brian David Phillips Hypnocast at http://briandavidphillips.libsyn.com has the full explanation of the process for hypnotists. This is a powerful, effective, and entertaining induction that takes a trance partner from waking state to full somnambulism in fifteen seconds or less. | In this video, Brian David Phillips performs a "mentalism" more...effect where he uses both verbal and nonverbal means to suggest what shapes a person should write upon a blank card. | Brian David Phillips runs a straightforward waking more...hypnosis arm catalepsy process during a Walkabout Trance event. This is also known as the "unbendable arm" test. Suggestibility Fun (Intensified Imagination Games) more.... . . in this video, Brian David Phillips demonstrates the "Arm Catalepsy" or "Arm Lock" effect converted into an hypnotic induction.
This video is from a series of short "intensified imagination and focused concentration games" that serve as "suggestibility tests." These are number of "speed hypnosis" effects. This sequence includes genuine hypnosis filmed on Jan. 10, 2008, with a volunteer trance partner.
There is no explanation in the video as this is straightforward demonstration.
This "suggestibility fun" excerpt is just one of the hypnotic effects and techniques that are taught in courses, workshops, and seminars presented by Brian David Phillips. Feel free to check for more information on upcoming events on the webpages at http://www.BrianDavidPhillips.com regarding courses or events such as conventions, Trance Walkabouts, or other events and shows. less |
